The Illusion of Progress
Right now, the industry is heading into a phase where AI is everywhere.
New tools. New features. New suppliers.
Everything looks like progress.
And the assumption most people are making is simple:
More AI tools = a better business.
The problem is the absence of a central brain.
No central intelligence.
No shared rules.
No single understanding of the customer.
Estate agency has already been through this once and over the next 6–12 months, the market will be full of:
- impressive demos
- strong marketing
- convincing use cases
All of it will look like progress.
But most of it will be building fragmentation.
While this is going on, something else is happening. A smaller group of agencies are building something different.
Meanwhile, inside our own business, we’ve seen something interesting.
